Desperately in need of a holiday but have no idea where to go to?

Have a destination in mind but don’t know where to start planning? What is there to see? Where should I stay? How to get around?

Planning your own travels gives you control over the pace of your holiday. You decide what to eat, see and do. You decide how much time you want to spend at each place. But that also means more effort in research and planning.

I always think it’s worth the effort. Your holiday time is limited and you will want to spend that time wisely.

You are probably reading this because you came across my posts while researching for your holiday. That’s exactly what I hope to offer – an inspiration for your next travel destination, an easy overview, a quick suggested itinerary and a whole collection of photos and opinions.

Hopefully I’ll be able to address your key considerations and needs for your next holiday!

My travels

I’ve been lucky – I started travelling since young, as a kid. And since my teenage years, I love re-living the joy of my travels by writing travel journals.

Fast forward to the present, I continue that love for travel and the excitement of seeing new things. I particularly love scenery, nature and new experiences. So a number of my trips tend to feature some form of trekking, hiking, being around mountains and lakes, experiencing new cultures or immersing into history.

My travel experiences

Over the years, I have visited 54 countries across 5 continents. I was born in Singapore, so the travels during my growing up years were mostly within the Asia Pacific.

I then moved to London in the United Kingdom for work, allowing me more recently to explore Europe in greater detail.

What’s coming

My enjoyment of documenting my travels has meant that I have a growing library of itineraries. Friends of mine have on numerous times approached me for my itineraries for their reference. So I thought, why not have them available online?

This travel blog is relatively new, but over the coming months I will be translating my collection of itineraries and travel journals into some helpful articles and photo galleries. Hopefully, they will assist in your future travel planning!

I will present the overviews and itineraries in an easy manner, in maps and graphical illustrations to make it easier to digest. I plan to also have a section on excursions and day hikes to feature some of the amazing hikes and day trips I have done.
